I appreciated rooms and food. The building itself was nice with a lovely garden. The venue was minutes from Hawkshead downtown. Btw, spots like an early school were very close to the hotel too.

Staff were SUPERFRIENDLY and we loved our time there. There was plenty of food, in general it was reasonably priced. Had complimentary drinks in the downstairs bar.

we ate at kings arms restaurant, which is only 200 m away, it suited our needs. a useful base for exploring hawkshead.

Choosing for lunch Minstrels Gallery, which is situated 100 metres away was a good idea. Marvelous location and decent prices. The hotel's setting was next to such tourist attractions as grizedale forest.
